Noontide Systems joins the S-Tech Ventures ecosystem

The ability of a drone to detect a target is a solved problem. The ability to reliably identify hard-to-detect devices under difficult conditions is not. That is exactly the gap Noontide Systems was built to address, as the newest member of the S-Tech Ventures ecosystem.

The company develops AI-powered computer vision systems for unmanned platforms in defence applications. The entire processing chain runs directly on the drone, with no dependency on a remote server or data connection. In environments where connectivity is not guaranteed, that is an operational necessity, not a technical choice. Noontide is built in Europe and works with partners across the Ukrainian and NATO defence ecosystem.

“Standard detection works as long as conditions are standard. We work with cases where they are not. Hard-to-detect targets, poor visibility, environments for which training data barely exists. That is a problem worth solving,” says Andrej Hulák, Founder and CEO Noontide Systems.

For S-Tech Ventures, Noontide represents a natural expansion of a portfolio focused on technologies with a direct link to operational reality. Autonomous systems and defence AI are among the areas where Europe’s technological sovereignty is being decided today.

“Unmanned systems are at the centre of the European defence debate. But hardware without reliable AI is only half the solution. Noontide brings the ability to identify a target where other systems fail. European defence sovereignty means having this technology developed here, not importing it,” says Anna Růžičková, CEO S-Tech Ventures.
