Optical Connectivity and Data Transmission: ARDyx Joins S-Tech Ventures Portfolio
Optical connectivity and data transmission form the fundamental infrastructure of modern defence systems. S-Tech Ventures is therefore expanding its portfolio to include ARDyx, a Czech manufacturer of optical connectivity solutions and hybrid systems for the defence sector and data infrastructure. The company builds on more than 25 years of manufacturing history under the INTELDAT banner, entering the market under a new name, new management, and a clear focus on defence and critical infrastructure.
“Modern defence systems generate data that must reliably operate even when standard infrastructure fails. Communications and data flow are the backbone of successful operations. ARDyx manufactures this capability in the Czech Republic, with NATO certification and 25 years of operational experience. European defence sovereignty is built at every layer of the supply chain—not just the visible ones,” says Anna Růžičková, CEO of S-Tech Ventures.
ARDyx manufactures optical and hybrid systems to order, precisely according to technical specifications, for both the defence sector and data infrastructure. In practice, this means equipping armoured vehicles, enabling tactical battlefield communication, and protecting critical perimeters. The company is a NATO-certified supplier with NCAGE code 8248 G, holds ISO 9001 and IQNet certification, and operates manufacturing facilities in Popovičky near Prague.
Beyond the defence sector, ARDyx serves the commercial data infrastructure market. As an authorised manufacturer in the CzechLight programme and a technology partner for Smartoptics and Ekinops, the company delivers solutions for data centres, WDM systems, and FTTX networks. Its customers include T-Mobile, Vodafone, Siemens, IBM, CETIN, and the Czech National Bank.
“ARDyx builds on decades of work for commercial customers—telecommunications operators and banks alike. At the same time, we hold products and certifications for the defence sector. This combination is rare, and it is precisely what we intend to expand into foreign markets. Both the defence and commercial segments are growing, and ARDyx has the capacity to serve both,” says Magda Rychnovská, Sales Director at ARDyx.
S-Tech Ventures builds its portfolio around industrial companies with proven manufacturing capacity, relevance to the defence market, and potential for European expansion. In the defence connectivity segment, a manufacturer with in-house production, valid NATO certification, and decades of operational experience is the exception, not the rule.
ARDyx’s entry into the portfolio reflects S-Tech Ventures’ broader strategy to strengthen the European defence supply chain at the layers that are invisible in public displays but indispensable to system performance.
